Dinner with David Bickford CB

In early March (date to be soon confirmed), we will next have David Bickford CB, former legal director for both MI5 and MI6. Letters inviting prospective members of MI5 to their interviews in Room 055 of the War Office came typically from David. He also served in other government postings, including three years in Berlin; as chief lawyer, he pushed during his career for greater openness for the intelligence services. David will be launching with us a spy novel – irrelevantly, given recent events in Greenland – set in the frozen depths of the Arctic, involving the US and Europe, Russia, minerals, and uranium.
